Overview:
In September 2023, ANET executed Project A0230 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, focused on land reclamation at a decommissioned tower site for Rogers Communications Inc. The scope involved removal of deteriorated tower footings, excavation, and restoration of the landscape to its pre-construction condition in compliance with environmental and municipal regulations. Our team removed all legacy concrete foundations, backfilled in engineered lifts using native blast-rock followed by progressively finer aggregates, and restored the site’s original grade line. This phased approach ensured long-term stability, proper compaction, and alignment with site engineering requirements.
Once grading was complete, ANET placed high-quality topsoil and hydroseeded with native vegetation to promote rapid growth, erosion control, and natural reintegration with surrounding terrain. All work adhered to strict environmental management practices to ensure zero disturbance to nearby wetlands and ecologically sensitive areas. Delivered at $160,000, the project resulted in a fully rehabilitated site that blends seamlessly with its natural surroundings and meets all regulatory standards. Rogers commended ANET for its diligence, environmental stewardship, and high-quality workmanship throughout project delivery.
