Client: Rogers Communications
Location: Hopper Lake, Ontario
Completion: June 2023
Overview:
ANET Fiber Tech Inc. delivered a fully integrated power and communications infrastructure solution for a remote Rogers cellular site at Hopper Lake, Ontario. The project scope included installation of a new 200A electrical service, grounding system, and deployment of a hybrid renewable power platform incorporating solar generation, wind turbines, battery storage, and diesel generator backup. This comprehensive off-grid system was engineered to provide continuous, stable power for mission-critical telecommunications equipment, ensuring network reliability in a challenging remote environment. ANET managed all aspects of site execution, including logistics, electrical construction, system commissioning, and compliance with safety and technical standards.
Operating in a remote northern location required careful planning to overcome access limitations, weather constraints, and the absence of conventional utility infrastructure. ANET successfully navigated these challenges, executing the project efficiently and to full client and regulatory specifications. The completed system provides reliable, self-sufficient power delivery and supports uninterrupted communications service for surrounding communities. In summary, this project demonstrates ANET’s ability to deploy hybrid renewable energy systems in off-grid locations and reinforce critical network infrastructure with resilient, long-duration power capability.
