Client: Property Owner / Qwest Telecom / Rogers
Location: Galiano Island, British Columbia
Completion: September 2023
Overview:
ANET Fiber Tech Inc. successfully delivered a turnkey electrical and power infrastructure solution for a remote multi-tenant communications property located at 1089 Montague Road on Galiano Island, BC. The scope included the engineering and installation of dedicated electrical service separation for three independent end-users — the property owner, Qwest Telecom, and Rogers — ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant stand-alone power systems for each tenant. Work included civil preparation, grounding systems, installation of concrete generator pads, electrical distribution installation, and commissioning of a 63 kW standby diesel generator. ANET was responsible for full site coordination, material and equipment mobilization, electrical integration, system testing, and quality control to meet technical, utility, and regulatory standards in a remote island environment.
Project execution involved logistical and site access challenges typical of island deployments, including ferry-based equipment transport, limited site accessibility, and the need for precise multi-stakeholder coordination to maintain continuity of services during installation. Despite these constraints, ANET completed the work efficiently and on schedule, delivering a reliable, code-compliant power system enabling independent and uninterrupted operation for all three tenants. In summary, this project demonstrates ANET’s capability in delivering complex generator-backed power solutions and multi-tenant electrical separation in remote locations — reinforcing our proven ability to execute mission-critical infrastructure projects with technical precision and operational reliability.
