Remote Telecom Site – North Burnt Bush Lake (C8457)

Client: Rogers Communications
Location: North Burnt Bush Lake, Ontario
Completion: April 2023

Overview:
ANET delivered a complete electrical works package and hybrid power deployment for a remote Rogers telecommunications tower in northern Ontario. The scope included site preparation, installation of a new 200A electrical service, grounding systems, battery storage configuration, and full commissioning of a renewable hybrid power solution combining solar, wind, battery storage, and diesel backup generation. The system was designed and optimized to ensure consistent and resilient power in an off-grid region, supporting critical telecommunications infrastructure. ANET coordinated all logistics, mobilization, safety procedures, and technical integration to meet stringent client and industry requirements while ensuring seamless execution in a remote operating environment.

Despite the isolated northern location—which introduced challenges such as limited access, transportation constraints, and weather-dependent installation windows—ANET successfully delivered the project on schedule and to full compliance standards. Our approach ensured stable, long-term operational performance and uninterrupted connectivity for surrounding communities. In short, this project demonstrates ANET’s expertise in delivering reliable hybrid power systems and complex infrastructure in remote settings, providing robust, off-grid energy resilience for mission-critical telecom applications.
